“American Royalty” - Illustrations by Sam Spratt commissioned by Childish Gambino
Limited Edition Prints Available: royalty.samspratt.com
So, I’m pretty excited to finally share with you my full project with Actor/Writer/Rapper Donald Glover. What began as cover art for his last album “Royalty” evolved into a series of Rockwell-esque vignettes on Americana meant to highlight the side of hip-hop that tends to take a back seat to “money, cars, and jewelry” – where you come from. The collection of 10 illustrations cover a wide-spectrum of the little moments – the struggles, the simple pleasures, the risks, the irony, the humor, the hopes, and the realities of the American life that maybe isn’t quite so cookie cutter. For me, this was a rare privilege to both work with an insanely talented person as well as learn an IMMENSE amount in the process of creating scenes completely outside of my bubble. All of these are available as extremely limited edition, signed, numbered, archival art prints at royalty.samspratt.com and a video interview on the project with Complex/Masked Gorilla is here.
A huge thanks to Funfere Koroye, who assisted and modelled for me on “Summer” and “Royalty”

Winners say “It may be difficult but it is possible”. See the gain, see possibilities, make it happen.
My transformation. Before and after in the last 3 months. In June, I weighed in at 188lbs 22% body fat, now I’m at 170lbs 12% body fat. My final goal is 175lbs of lean muscle and 7-8% body fat. The journey began over a year ago with a starting weight of 232lbs. With lots of determination, consistency and hard work, I was able to accomplish my goal. Eat clean, train dirty, box swiftly. The journey continues. #fitness #weightloss #cardio #training #nodaysoff #beastmode #weightloss #getfit
FRUIT & VEGETABLES –If it falls from a tree, then it’s safe to say it’s a good option. The idea is to try and eat foods that have not been altered by humans in any way. Try and buy local from the nearest farmer’s market, this way you are guaranteed quality produce, along with supporting your local farmers!
LEAN MEATS –Meat is not our enemy. Lean meats are a fantastic source of protein, which creates lean muscle and keeps you feeling fuller for longer – BONUS! When buying meat, stick to lean, quality meats from your local butcher.
GRAINS –Think ‘whole’ grains. Things like brown rice, quinoa, rye breads and oatmeal are all good options. Steer clear of ‘white’ breads, pasta and rice – brown is best!
FEWER PACKAGED FOODS –Just because it claims to be healthy, doesn’t mean it’s a good choice. Many packaged foods are a company’s advertisement, attempting to lure shoppers into buying their product. You will find that there are many hidden nasties in foods found in the supermarket that can negatively impact your health.
H20 IS THE WAY TO GO –Keep yourself hydrated all day long, and the best way to do that is good old fashioned water! Most drinks found in the supermarket are full of sugar, even some orange juice! The best option is to juice your own at home, so much better for you!
TRAIN DIRTY AT HOME: If you cant make it to the gym, I have put together an easy home workout plan. 4 exercises, 30 seconds rest, three sets.

Lana Del Rey - ‘“NATIONAL ANTHEM”.
There’s something about Lana apart from her voice that I’m obsessed with. I think I just need a white girl like her. LOL
